My name is Victoria Hillman and I was born and grew up in the south west of England, but have spent much time travelling around the world. I have a degree in zoology with marine zoology from the University of Wales, Bangor and an MSc in Wildlife Biology and Conservation at Edinburgh Napier University.
I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember and over the last several years I have concentrated on wildlife, although I often take landscape shots if the opportunity is there. I love every aspect of wildlife and studying their behaviour has allowed me to capture different images and unique moments through photography.
2009 was exciting with the launch of my website, first solo exhibition, an appearance on BBC Radio Somerset and galleries on both BBC Somerset and BBC Bristol websites. 2010 was busy with 8 months spent on Easdale Island in the Inner Hebrides working as a photogrpaher and guide topped off with a photograph published in Yachting Monthly magazine. 2011 saw a trip to Romania, a trip to Madagascar in October and another major project in the pipeline alongside a couple of smaller UK based projects. 2012 looks to be another exciting year with the 3 month exhibition and plenty more mini projects in the pipeline!
Plans for the future are to use my photography along with my MSc in the area of conservation both around the British Isles and the world.
