This year has been exciting on so many different levels, possibly one of the biggest things to happen was being asked to join the judging panels for three different competitions.
Back in May first up was British Wildlife Photography Awards (BWPA), a competition I was lucky enough to be Highly Commended in in 2017, a real celebration of British nature and wildlife. The 2018 results will be announced in the coming weeks so do keep an eye out
Next up and something that came a little bit of a surprise was Bird Photographer Of The Year (BPOTY) and I went up to Birdfair to meet the team back in August. This competition is currently open for entries with a closing date of 30th November so there is still time to get your entries in.
As part of the judging panel I have also written a couple of articles for their blog and you can also read the meet the judges articles which introduces the different judges. Rob has also very kindly written a beautiful book review of my Forgotten little Creatures Book which you can read alongside my Meet The Judge piece.
Last up, I have been asked to Judge the 2019 Shepton Mallet Snowdrop Competition, this is a competition that i have won for the last two years and am delighted to be judging it this year. The competition opens for entries on the 1st November and closes on 9th February 2019.

I am truly honoured to have been asked to judge these competitions and I have enjoyed and am looking forward to the challenges of judging.
Good luck to everyone who has or is entering.
